High Rupturing Capacity "HRC" fuse-elements (typically with ceramic or fibre-glass bodies) for protecting modern and legacy electrical equipments and distribution circuits where the explosive energy (current x voltage) of the fuse-element is higher than is commonly found in non-industrial equipment.

Fusing currents typically cover the range to 800 Amps and more.
