Time recording and display meters keeps track of accumulating time. Often referred to as Elapse-Time-Indicators also known as the abbreviation "ETIs" (elaspsed-time-indicators). They are typically used to record the active-run-time of equipment for the purposes of maintenance or general record-keeping.
Digital displays based upon the electro-mechanicalstyle ane derived from a synchronous motor (shaded-pole) and gear-train. They are the common style and very reliable, however, they are alternating-current supply-frequency critical and DC ones exist for other conditions where a stable AC is not readily available.
