Reducing adaptors, primarily for RG6 or RG8x and variants to provide a durable cable entry with optional crimp facilitation. It has an internal bore 5.4mm and may also adapt for use with RG59 (jacket fits bore) and similar cables or LMR240 (braid-fits internal bore) and similar coaxial cable with provision for heatshrink retainer/stress relief etc. Use with RG-58, LMR-195, URM43 and other smaller cable will require the fitting of a suitable heat-shrink sleeve to pack the clearance.
Special Features:
This clever inovation eliminates twist-failure common with smaller cables installed into PL-259 military-style UHF connectors. It installs into PL259 UHF coaxial plug threaded body similarly to UG-175/U and other reducing adaptors intended for use with smaller coaxial cables. It is machined from solid brass, silver-plated and passivated to limit tarnishing. Suitable for various RG-59, RG6 and RG8x style cables including LMR-240, LMR-240UF (ultra-flex) etc. It may also be used on smaller cables as discussed above.
See additional pictures and drawing for further details and assembly concepts.
Note - Optional extra 8mm dia x 30mm long medium-wall coated heatshrink sleeve is recommended.
Packing: Individual sealed HDPE bags (assembly instruction-drawing supplied with orders).
